New blog - Not So New Topic - Central Vacuum Maintenance!

Welcome to our new blog!  In honor of our new website, and blog, I am revisiting what can be said to be an 'old', but very important topic.  Central Vacuum Maintenance!

For those of you that have Vacuflo central vacuums, there are several maintenance activities that should be performed on a regular basis:  these include emptying the canister, cleaning the guard screen, and (for Filtered Cyclonic units) changing the filter.  Below are some Vacuflo videos that demonstrate the process of each of these acivities.  Frequency will depend on your level of usage, but generally, canisters should be emptied when they are 2/3's (Filtered Cyclonic models) to 3/4's full (Model 260, 466Q, 566Q, 760, and 960), the guard screen should be cleaned each time you empty the canister, and filters for the Filtlered Cyclonic units should be replaced at least once a year.  Specific step by step instructions are included in your operating instructions for your power unit.  If you do not have a copy of the operating instructions, email us at neesonelec@frontier.com, and we can provide you with an electronic copy.  Happy maintenance!
